Celebrities and their birthdays have always held a special place in our hearts. The paparazzi knows to follow celebrities around on their birthdays because something outrageous or glamorous usually happens. From the huge, mob-like parties to the private dinners, we all want to know what fabulous things these stars are doing.

She and her boyfriend invite all of their high powered friends to get together in a luxury hotel for three days. Rhianna's boyfriend threw her a giant bash which was really an ode to the singer. Not only did she receive a huge diamond necklace, but the party included all of her favorite things. Even the cake had icing to look like all of the tattoos she has on her body. But an A-list party would not be an A-list party if there were not a few things to rock the boat. One of the surprises was an exotic dancer--a midget exotic dancer!

Ashton Kutcher had one of the few mature and relatively quiet parties to celebrate his thirtieth birthday. Hi wife, Demi Moore, invited a bunch of their fellow stars to come out to a fancy dinner. She even invited her ex-husband who is rumored to be very good friends with Ashton. After dinner the well-dressed group went to a club and stayed until it closed.

These parties are almost more glamorous than the really expensive ones because of the exclusivity factor. What did Demi Moore's ex-husband bring Ashton for a gift? What are they all like behind the scenes when cameras are not pointed at them? Did any of the guests not get along? We will never know.

One man who did not get more sedate with his parties as he got older was the Sultan of Brunei. This fabulously rich ruler spent the most money that has ever been spent on a birthday party, almost thirty million dollars! Half of this price tag was a private Michael Jackson concert, which the Sultan bought out for his guests. The other half was made up of ridiculously expensive champagne and caviar, accommodations, parades and entertainment.

Though these parties may not be one hundred percent enjoyable to everyone and definitely require huge amounts of planning and ample headaches, there is a reason why we all crave the taste of the high life. It is a heady feeling to think that you could buy absolutely anything you want for such a superficial reason. Not only that, but to be able to make ridiculous demands and have them met and to get chummy with reclusive people is why we all want to learn as much as we can about these soirees.
