The Pleasure Craft Operator Card, or pcoc, is required of all Canadians who operate motorized watercraft. Boaters must have their PCOC if operating any motorized recreational boat, even if the motor is turned off, and even if the motor is a trolling or auxiliary motor that is attached to a rowboat, or sailboat. The PCOC, once obtained, never has to be renewed, and never expires.
